I love design. Aside from the visual, it's also the intrinsic connection you feel from it. Good design is timeless because the human experience doesn't change. As a self-taught furniture designer, my passion for design started when I was nine years old. I would draw the exterior and interior layouts of homes for countless hours.
I fostered my creative journey with roles in marketing, designing houses to interior design over 12 years. My passion cumulated to several marketing and design awards for the company I worked for. My design ethos has always been about functionality leading design. It’s about practicality and the human experience.
In 2011, a dream trip to Australia changed my life and decided to set up roots. The next step of my creative journey has lead me to open a furniture store in Melbourne. It was a natural evolution for me to start designing furniture after a long design stint in Canada. My CLU collection melds considered design, functionality and quality for compact spaces. Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Melbourne with a focus on environmental responsibility and celebrating local craftsmanship.
